Artist Statement

“Painting is my soul’s favorite expression. Art has given me so much and I dedicate this practice to sharing gratitude, celebration, and positivity. The call to create has been a shining light in my journey, and has helped me heal through uplifting art. I believe creation must come from within. And to work from within, I practice looking out, giving praise to the beauty around us. I find this beauty through the gift of nature- A blossoming garden, fields of harvest, or the vast sky over rolling hills. I find deep gratitude when surrounded by nature, and feel most at home in the serene country landscapes right in my backyard.”

“I use these moments in nature to hold memories and tell stories, bringing them to life through color and style. With whimsical movement, swirling compositions, and exaggerated scale, I want to emulate an enchanted world of love and reminiscence. Vibrant colors excite the senses and hold the key to spread positive energy. Intuition guides my colors, that may change as the seasons, leaning into palettes that both stimulate and soothe the soul. These paintings make my heart sing, and I’ve dedicated myself to reflecting expressive tales that celebrate my own journey and surroundings.”

“Through my art I create this world of wonder and joy. My world is open, accepting, and kind. My world is positive and safe. It wants to heal, and be healed without hesitation. With nature as my blueprint, I reflect the beautiful outside so it can motivate within. I believe art is a gift to be shared; it’s a gift I put onto the canvas with love and give back to the universe. I hope this gift of love reaches the viewer and encourages the power to create unapologetically. I invite you into this world, to embrace the light and to find your own special place of inspiration and joy.” -Sara Glupker
