“Golden Girls was such a fun painting to paint! I wanted to reference a few things at once: to start, a crusty old and ugly couch that I had growing up, second, this is a nod to the couch from the show FRIENDS - a favorite show from the 90s and most importantly, I wanted to create a large painting commemorating my sweet circle of friends growing up. There are 5 of us, a tight circle of a different kind of sisterhood. They were, and still are, “there for me”. I will forever be grateful for my golden girls- we are still a tight group and I love them all so so much.” -Sara
This original painting is part of a 63-painting collection created for Sara’s current solo exhibition In Our Wildest Dreams at Western Michigan University.
The painting is signed, ready to hang with a wire on the back, and includes a certificate of authenticity signed by Sara.

Sara will start shipping and coordinating local painting deliveries/pick up of sold paintings starting the week of December 1st, 2025 and will get all of the show’s paintings shipped out asap.
