Love on the Line

$5,000.00

Original Painting

60” x 48” x 1.5”, acrylic on canvas

“Love on the Line was inspired by a photograph of my Grandma hanging clothes on her clothesline. I’ve had the image of clothes hanging on a clothesline before in my paintings when I found this old photo of my sweet Grandma Julia I gasped- it was perfect. I love all that clotheslines represent- slowing down, living simply, being in the moment. I also love the metaphors that a clothesline represent visually- moments on a physical (time)line, lineage, putting “love on the line”. My Grandmas, Mom and Aunts are/were all of those things.”  -Sara
