“The City Girl is one of four cityscapes in this exhibition. Originally inspired by a summer trip to downtown Chicago the summer of 2024. My WMU art school best friend Amy and I spent an evening downtown visiting my mentor’s solo show a few blocks from the heart of the city. When we left the gallery I loved how the light hit the windows and brick around me and cast all of the bright citrus colors on the buildings. I had so much fun recreating this memory and moment between sun up and sun down with these paintings. ” -Sara
This original painting is part of a 63-painting collection created for Sara’s current solo exhibition In Our Wildest Dreams at Western Michigan University.
The painting is signed, ready to hang with a wire on the back, and includes a certificate of authenticity signed by Sara.
