The Village No. 27: Passion and Grace

This collection of forty-three 8x8-inch wooden panels features individual houses, each one representing a person—or soul—who has supported and inspired me along my artistic journey. Every house is unique in color, character, and personality, just like the people who have shaped my path. I chose to create 43 houses to reflect my 43 years of life—each one symbolic of the connections, lessons, and experiences that have guided me to this point. While each painting stands on its own, together they form The Village—a vibrant, collective expression of community, connection, and the idea that it truly takes a village to grow both as a person and an artist.
This original painting is part of a 63-painting collection created for Sara’s current solo exhibition In Our Wildest Dreams at Western Michigan University.
The painting is signed, ready to hang with a wire on the back, and includes a certificate of authenticity signed by Sara.
Please note: This painting is currently on display in Sara’s solo exhibition at Western Michigan University. You can see it in person at the gallery until the show ends November 22nd, 2025. (See events page for gallery hours, parking info and details). Sara will start shipping and coordinating local painting deliveries/pick up of sold paintings starting the week of December 1st, 2025 and will get all of the show’s paintings shipped out asap.
